The effects of cold exposure on heart rate variability (HRV) during sleep were examined. In low ambient temperature, HRV was fluctuated at transition from stage 2 to REM and wakefulness. These results may partly explain the peak in adverse cardiac events during winter.(睡眠中の心拍変動に及ぼす寒冷環境の影響を検討した。寒冷環境では、睡眠段階2からレム睡眠や覚醒への移行時に心拍変動が大きくなり、冬季の心血管系の事故発生率の高さを一部説明するものと考えられる。)
