We compared detailed characteristics of blink behavior in epilepsies with health controls. The main conclusions from intragroup analyses were 1) non-occipital lobe epilepsies had decreased blink rates, lower in amplitude, and slower in velocity than occipital epilepsies, which is also typical with epilepsy;2)there were no differences among five epileptic types using simple criteria, except that poly-therapy type had the more typical behavior of epilepsies involving a lower eye blink frequency.
