「Forgiveness in Conflict Resolution: Recovery of Justice by an Audience」

An International Symposium on Forgiveness and Justice in Conflict Resolution (Sendai, Japan)

We examined the effects of the audience’s attribution of responsibility and the victim’s responsibility on willingness of forgiveness. The results showed that the desire for justifiability was reduced and forgiving behavior was enhanced when the audience denied the victim’s responsibility.
(加害者を許すことは被害者にとって非常に困難であるが、本研究では被害者の責任を第三者が否定することによって被害者の寛容性が高まると予測した。シナリオ研究によって、第三者が被害者の責任を否定した時、それを示唆するよりも、加害者に対する被害者の寛容性が高まることが示された。)
